5-4-21   THOUGHTS

From yesterday’s thoughts, “Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God.”  Prov 2:5   I want us to understand that this is not just the passing of information!  Knowing God through HIS WORD, brings GOD’S SPIRIT into our lives!
Heb 4:12  For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
John 6:63  "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life”.
Job 21:22 "Can anyone teach God knowledge, In that He judges those on high?
1Cor 2:10-16     For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13  which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 14  But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15  But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.  16  For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
Rom 8:5-6    For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6  For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
Jas 4:5    Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: "He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us"?    Read the context of this verse.
1John 4:4-7    You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 5  They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. 6  We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

My Prayer:
O God who allows us to call him Father, we praise and honor and exalt your wonderful name.  
May your Spirit ever dwell in us.  Help us to absorb your Sprit into our hearts and lives.  Teach us to be spiritual in all that we think and do.  May we drink continually from the fountain of your wisdom. We are born of you O Father, help us to know you, and to love as you let us live.
